Every little girl will probably get a doll at some point, if they live in a developed country. In a developing country having a manufactured doll may only be a lifelong dream. This fact became very clear to me when a little girl arrived at our Saturday Kids Bible Club with her babydoll. Her doll was a clean, short whiskey bottle with clean, neat, purple hair extensions coming out of it’s top. She cradled her doll just as any girl would cradle their favorite doll. This reminded me that however we see ourselves, a beautiful doll or a whiskey bottle with purple hair extensions, God loves us the same. And, the best part is that none of us are “make dos” we are all designed and created by God for His glory.
